Fun hands-on activities are very common at a luau. The most popular activities include lei making, ukulele, and hula lessons. Some luau offer limbo dancing and temporary Polynesian tattoos.

Legends, Sunsets, & Imu Ceremony
As the sun goes down, the luau experience comes to life with ceremonies such as the tiki torch lighting, shower of flower blessing, and the underground imu oven pork tasting. The popular unearthing of the imu is a whole pig wrapped in banana leaves that is slowly roasted to perfection underground.

Luaus are known for being a feast with many different dishes from around Hawaii, Asia, and other pacific islands. Some of the most common dishes include poi or taro, freshly caught fish, and lau lau.
Music and Dance
Luaus have live music and entertainment performing hula, Tahitian dance, and the world-famous Samoan fire dances.
